Most of us love getting away for a few days during the summer, but let's be honest... with so many great campgrounds around the state, deciding where to go can be the hardest part. There are so many of the best campgrounds in Michigan to choose from that it's almost impossible to pick just one.
Personally, I still love spending a few days outdoors with friends, but my tenting days are long behind me. These days, give me a cabin or an RV, and I'm a happy camper.

If you're trying to figure out where to book your next camping trip, I figured I'd let the people who've actually stayed there make the decision. I dug through Google reviews from campgrounds all across Michigan and rounded up 20 spots that campers just can't seem to stop talking about.
Some made the list because they're close to the beach. Others are known for great hiking, insane views, or just a great spot to chill and spend a long weekend. No matter what kind of camping trip you're after, there's probably something here you'll want to check out.
To keep things fair, I stuck with campgrounds that had high Google ratings and a good number of reviews. This isn't a ranked list, so don't read anything into the order.
