Crash Ends High Speed Motorcycle Chase Through Lapeer

Last Tuesday, police arrested a 33 year-old Lapeer man and expect to charge him with reckless driving, fleeing and eluding, and possibly drunk driving, after he took police on a high speed chase from Attica Township to Lapeer at speeds of 120 mph on his motorcycle.

The cyclist lost control of the bike as he tried to turn off Bowers onto Nepessing Street. The bike skid some 50 feet before hitting the curb at Nepessing and Oregon Road.
